The Opportunity

We are now looking for suitably qualified and experienced professionals who are interested in joining our new Shared Business Services team based in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. Successful applicants will be part of a start-up team within an established global business. The new Malaysia team will work closely with small teams in Brisbane, Australia; Vancouver, Canada; and Santiago, Chile to deliver the key finance and personnel services.

Detailed Description
The Accounts Payable Officers will be responsible for assisting the Accounts Payable Process Manager to provide accurate and timely payment of supplier ad contractor invoices and expense claims.

The key areas of accountability include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitate effective payment of supplier and contractor invoices, expense claim forms and cost transfers
  • Provision of customer service to external and internal clients and suppliers regarding accounts payable practices and procedures
  • Reporting to internal and external stakeholders as well as assisting with internal and external audits
  • Completion of general administration tasks where required.


Desired skills and experience

For the opportunity to be part of this exciting new team, your attributes and accomplishments will include:

  • Diploma in accounting and/or current pursuit of a professional accounting qualification
  • Proven experience in an accounts payable position (preferably within an international company)
  • Highly developed self-management skills including time management
  • Demonstrated understanding of taxation requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Previous experience with Oracle is preferred.
