OCP Phosphate Project

Back to case studies

Incorporating the world's longest phosphate slurry pipeline system

Ausenco provided beneficiation plant, port and pipeline design services for the OCP Phosphate Project in Morocco.

While OCP’s phosphate product is currently transported by rail, the new system will include material processing and handling facilities to adapt the product to suit pipeline transportation.

Ausenco designed a 250km pipeline, the longest phosphate slurry pipeline in the world.

We also provided preliminary study and basic design services for the downstream facilities (filtration, storage, distribution and drying plant) and completed basic engineering on one Greenfield beneficiation plant and Brownfield adaptations of two other plants.

This project demonstrates the ability of our teams to collaborate and deliver a unique system for our client.
