Ausenco is active in making a positive difference to the communities in which we live and work.

Our efforts are driven by our valued employees through team, office and country-based initiatives including fundraising, volunteering, mentoring, pro bono professional support and participation in community events.

The Ausenco Foundation

Sponsorships

Ausenco engages in sponsorships that support organisations, programs, events and causes that are valued by our stakeholders and the communities in which we operate. We are involved in sponsorships at both a corporate and community level and we welcome proposals that align with our core values and key priority areas, which are:

  • Innovation and Education
  • Culture and the Arts
  • Sport and Recreation
  • Health and Safety.

Through sponsorships, we seek to support organisations and programs that provide a meaningful contribution to the local communities and /or economies in which we live and work.

If your organisation would like to apply for a sponsorship with Ausenco, please complete the online application form which includes the following:

  • Information about your organisation and the opportunity/project for which sponsorship is sought
  • An overview of how the sponsorship aligns with Ausenco’s values and priority areas
  • The proposed budget and the amount of sponsorship sought (financial and/or in-kind)
  • Sponsorship benefits to your organisation and to Ausenco
  • Profile of the target audience and anticipated involvement/participation
  • How the sponsorship will be managed and evaluated.

Applications will be assessed according to how they meet Ausenco’s criteria and the availability of funds. We will endeavour to review and respond to your sponsorship proposal within four weeks. Applications need to be submitted at least three months in advance of the sponsorship opportunity.

Community involvement snapshot

  • In 2013 the Ausenco Foundation donated more than AU$100,000 to worthy communities through organisations including Habitat for Humanity (Canada), Buk bilong Pikinini (Papua New Guinea), Pragnya Vision Centre (India), Sarvodaya Parivar Trust (India), Waaime (Peru), British Columbia Children's Hospital Foundation (Canada), The Smith Family (Australia), Red Cross (Australia), Aprendo Contigo at Hospital del Niño (Peru), Huilquío school (Chile).
  • In 2013 Ausenco was again a sponsor of the Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer supporting the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Brisbane, Australia; and the Robbie McEwen Gran Fondo supporting RACQ Careflight Rescue and 4ASD Kids on the Gold Coast, Australia.
  • In Vancouver, Ausenco was a proud sponsor and supporter of the St Paul’s Hospital Foundation Lights of Hope celebration.
  • In 2013 Ausenco sponsored and employees participated in the “World’s Biggest Orchestra” Guinness Book of Records achievement.
  • Employees also participated in community activities including fun runs, Corporate Games and Dragon Boat regattas.
  • Employees in many our offices held their own fundraising, donation or volunteering drives in 2013 including:
    • CAD$1,000 raised for the Big Sister program by our Vancouver, Canada team
    • Participation by members of our Lima, Peru team in the Dr Tony’s Kids “Beach Day”
    • Donation of computer equipment to a community college by our Concord, USA team
    • Participation by a team from Vancouver in the CANstruction event, supporting the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society
    • Participation in and fundraising for the RSPCA’s “Cupcake Day” in Australia
    • A baby food drive by our Burlington, Canada office team members for Neighbour 2 Neighbour
    • Participation in the CIBC Run for the Cure in Halifax, Canada, supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
    • CAD$15,000 raised by employees in the Vancouver office for United Way as part of their annual “Week of Giving”
    • Fundraising and participation by team members from many offices for “Movember”, supporting men’s health and research
    • Blood donation drives in a number of offices
    • A coat, blankets and sock drive by Vancouver and Montreal team members for The Salvation Army (Canada)
    • A gift drive for The Salvation Army and a food drive for St Vincent de Paul led by the Ausenco Gives Back team in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Perth (Australia)
    • Volunteering for Christmas appeals and distribution of donations for The Salvation Army and The Smith Family in Brisbane
    • Donation of gifts and money to Discovery House by employees in Calgary, Canada as part of their Christmas appeal
    • Donation of CAD$4,795 to the Canadian Red Cross in aid of Typhoon Haiyan relief by employees in Vancouver.
