Australia's newest publicly listed copper company, Tritton Resources Limited, has awarded the design and construction of the Tritton Copper Project process plant and surface facilities to Ausenco Limited. The award is subject to final documentation which is anticipated to be completed this month.
The $24.2 million lump sum turnkey contract is for the construction of the 660,000 tpa (expandable to 900,000 tpa) copper concentrator, tailings dam and surface infrastructure such as roads and buildings.
Work will immediately commence on engineering, site geotechnical testing and implementation for the site construction phase.
According to Ian Culbert, Managing Director Tritton Resources, "Ausenco presented us with the best mix of site knowledge, process capability, commercial structure and execution approach and we are happy to be working together to successfully develop the Tritton Copper Project".
