The Chatree Gold Mine facility was developed for Akara Mining in 2000-2001 by Ausenco as a1 Mt/y gold processing plant. Further upgrades involving Ausenco include an additional Ball Mill, pebble crushing circuit and extensions to the leach/CIP circuit have resulted in an increased plant capacity to 2.3 Mt/y. The opening of the new Chatree North Gold mine now requires an increase in overall plant capacity to 5 Mt/y.
Ausenco are providing total EPCM services, including:
• Design of the new 2.7 Mt/y crushing, reclaim, grinding and leach circuit adjacent to the existing plant
• Design of the new 5 Mt/y CIP, Desorption, Carbon Regeneration, Elution, Goldroom, Tailings, Cyanide Reduction and Reagents plant which will process the leached product from the existing plant plus the new leached product
• Design for the changes in the existing plant as part of the integration exercise
• Procurement of goods and fabricated materials, predominantly from Australia and Thailand
• Inspection and expediting of goods and materials especially for Thai steel and plate work
• Establishing and managing construction using Thailand construction companies
• Commissioning of the new plant and integration of the existing plant.
