The Dairi Project, located 150 km South of Medan in the Dairi Regency in North Sumatra, Indonesia, entails the design and construction of a 1 Mt/y zinc/lead concentrator and associated infrastructure.

The scope of services included process plant including crushing, milling, flotation, concentrate filter and services; paste plant; plant buildings, accommodation camp construction, power station, access roads; tailings dam construction; concentrate storage and ship loading jetty; upgrade of 22 km government road from Parongil to Sidikalang.

• Excellent Safety record with 1 LTI for 1.8 million man hours worked
• Logistics and freight successfully executed in rainforest site
• Site layout constraints as a confined site location required to produce 2 Process Plants
• Extensive earth works to be undertaken in mountainous jungle terrain
• Project placed on hold in 2009.
