Ausenco Sandwell conducted an engineering study followed by a capital cost estimate for facilities to improve the sawdust pulping capacity by the addition of a 340 t/d M&D Digester system.
Subsequently, Ausenco Sandwell executed the detailed design and provided purchasing and contract assistance.
The project included installation of a new sawdust screen and chutework, upgraded conveyors, new M&D continuous sawdust digester and ancillary equipment, modified brown stock screening and washing equipment and piping, upgraded kraft stock distribution system, and improved No. 2 bleach plant piping with a new MC pump.
