The Sulfuric Acid Storage Bund was a re-study (originally by Ausenco and completed in January 2002) of a new sulfuric acid storage facility. It was conducted on a three stage construction basis, potentially over a 10-year period. Detailed engineering included concrete catchment basin (7500m3 capacity) and existing tanks bund interconnecting pipe (900mm NB x 100m long). Ausenco’s scope included the feasibility study for process plant upgrade; full engineering design including provision of drawings, technical specifi cations, and construction scope of works; assistance for procurement and construction; process plant upgrade schedule development and planning assistance; and site commissioning assistance.
