Providing EPCM in the remote highlands of Papua New Guinea
The Hidden Valley Gold Project entails the construction of a 4.2 Mtpa gold processing plant in the remote highlands of Papua New Guinea, approximately 150km south of Lae, Morobe Province. The expected annual production from the mine is 300,000oz of gold and 4.5Moz of silver per annum.
Our scope is the provision of the full EPCM services for the design, construction and commissioning of the project including the process plant, site access roads, water supply, power supply, site accommodation and associated infrastructure.
Project Highlights
- Excellent safety record with over two million man hours worked LTI free
- Targeting a 2nd quarter 2009 completion
- Site layout constraints as it is a confined site location in the PNG rainforest
- Extensive earth works completed in very difficult ground conditions
- Logistics and freight executed in a remote rainforest site
- Peak construction workforce of 2,400 personnel with extensive use of local labour.
