EPCM for copper-gold project at remote and mountainous site in Laos
The 12 Mtpa Phu Kham copper-gold deposit is located in a remote, mountainous site approximately 100km northeast of the Laos capital, Ventiane. The deposit contains a mineral resource of 1.2 Mt of copper and 1.5 Mt of gold. The Phu Kham Copper-Gold Project was the second phase of development of the Phu Kham deposit.
We were commissioned to be the EPCM consultants for the design, construction and commissioning of the 12 Mtpa processing plant. We undertook the engineering, procurement and construction management utilising our Manila office for the detailed engineering phase. We also developed the process facilities for the project while the client was responsible for the general infrastructure and bulk earthworks.
