The RAVXpress Team retained Ausenco Sandwell in association with Ove Arup to do the preliminary design of the underground sections for the Vancouver segment of the RAV Line P3 project. The segment included five underground stations at King Edward, Broadway, Davie, Robson, and Waterfront with two optional stations at 2nd and 33rd Avenues. Ausenco Sandwell/Ove Arup did the preliminary design for the seven stations, and the ventilation system for the stations and tunnels. The design of each station was different due to different entrance locations, side and centre platforms, varying depths and different soils which resulted in drained and undrained structures
