Ausenco Sandwell conducted the preliminary engineering and capital cost estimate for a new 3,120,000 lb BLS/d single-drum recovery boiler.
It has a low odour design with high solids combustion, including a twin-chamber high efficiency dry bottom electrostatic precipitator and a five-effect falling-firm evaporator plant as part of a stand-alone recovery boiler island.
Subsequent to the preliminary engineering and capital cost estimate, Ausenco Sandwell conducted a comparison of turnkey bids for the recovery island, and acted as Owner’s Engineer throughout the turnkey contract.
