Ausenco Sandwell conducted a detail study, followed by design development, capital cost estimates, detail design and construction supervision assistance for a new 184 inch trim twin-wire, SC-B paper machine of 4,000 fpm capacity.
The project also included two supercalenders, a new winder, expansion and improvements to the wood handling facilities, groundwood mill and screening systems.
Kraft repulping capacity was increased from 100 t/d to 170 t/d and groundwood capacity increased from 320 Adt/d to 450 Adt/d for a total average mill capacity increase from 330 Ft/d to 620 Ft/d.
