Processing facility - design, installation, procurement and commissioning
The Tritton Copper Project was a 660,000 tpa greenfields copper concentrator which included primary crushing, conveying, secondary crushing, grinding, flotation, thickening, filtration, and plant services. Key equipment was 1.5MW SAG and Ball mill, 30 off 8m3 Dorr Oliver flotation cells, 12m tailings thickener, 10m concentrator thickener, lasta plate, and frame filter.
Ausenco's scope was to undertake a lump sum contract to design, procure, install, and commission the processing facility. Ausenco managed the removal, transportation and refurbishment of the second-hand equipment. The second-hand equipment comprised a crusher, SAG Mill, Ball Mill, flotation cells, lime plant, tails thickener, and slurry pumps.
Project Highlights
- The use of second-hand equipment delivered significant capital savings and increased throughput capacity
- Self-performed civil and installation of piping and mechanical equipment to reduce costs.
