Ausenco’s experience in the implementation of power generation projects continues to foster new opportunities in both traditional and non-traditional power markets. 

Combining our experience in gas and coal-fired, biomass, and landfill gas -based generation has positioned us well in the renewable power generation markets, providing more services not only in these power production markets but also in the further expansion into additional renewable markets including wind, solar, geothermal, marine, and providing supplemental services for nuclear based generation, and now taking the production to the consumer through our transmission and distribution offering.

With our experience in designing systems for hazardous industrial environments involving pressurised gases, chemicals, chemical storage and efficient use of heating and energy, we have  a unique perspective and body of knowledge - a crucial component when addressing the challenges of integrating new cogeneration facilities into various types of industrial and manufacturing plants safely and in an environmentally friendly fashion.

Our resume of cogeneration project experience includes the complete detailed design and field services associated with construction of Canada’s largest cogeneration plants firing biomass, urban waste, and natural gas.

Our specialised knowledge of materials handling systems and extensive appreciation for problems encountered in cold climate installations is particularly useful in providing full design services for solid fuel-fired plants and unique remote locations, such as the Arctic.
