We strive to achieve inspiring relationships and partnerships with our communities to help build their capacity, improve quality of life and provide opportunities for skills development.

Ausenco Foundation logoWe’re striving to make a positive impact on the world around us.
The Ausenco Foundation helps us to strengthen the communities within
which we live and work by constantly adding value.  We aim to contribute to
communities in project site areas on an ongoing basis.

Ways we provide assistance include:

  • Employee participation
  • Matching funds raised by our people
  • Community infrastructure upgrades
  • Education opportunities
  • Health support
  • Social awareness programs
  • Agricultural assistance.

In 2011 we are proud to be Pit-Stop sponsors for the Rio Tinto Ride to Conquer Cancer benefitting the Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR). This epic, two day ride in South East Queensland on 20-21 August, is set to challenge riders and raise much needed funds for the great work being done at QIMR. For more information please visit www.conquercancer.org.au

We’ve already thrown our support behind appeals such as the Victoria bushfires and Queensland floods in Australia, and the Haiti, Samoa and Sumatra tsunami and earthquakes.  We also sponsored the China Project held at Queensland’s Gallery of Modern Art.

As a culturally diverse company, we sponsor initiatives that help address the challenges faced by people in the areas in which we operate.  For example, we contribute to Children’s Day celebrations in Brazil and the Tony’s Kids clinic in Peru.

Ausenco is also a gold sponsor of Breaking the Cycle – Kate Leeming’s ride across Africa to explore the causes and consequences of extreme poverty and seek ways to make communities more sustainable and resilient.

In 2010 the Ausenco Foundation support the Red Heart Ride -  supporting Alex Harper and three other cyclists to ride from Uluru in central Australia, to Brisbane (a distance of 3500 kilometres) to raise money and awareness for Australian Rotary Health, the largest non-government funder of mental health research in Australia.

And that’s only the beginning.  The Ausenco Foundation will continue to help build stronger communities by supporting community initiatives.
