In Australia we offer undergraduate employment to kick start your career.

We give you practical experience and genuine responsibility which complement your studies and help you transition from student to professional.

Placements (when available) are in Brisbane and Perth, Australia, for third and fourth year students in the design and project work areas. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our leading engineers to deliver some of the world’s most interesting and challenging projects.

We offer flexible work arrangements and can work around your university breaks and timetables. Our aim is to develop our undergraduate students through third and fourth year of university and then into our new professionals program.

Some of the discipline areas included in our program are:

  • Process Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering.

Graduate opportunities - New Professionals program

Ausenco’s New Professionals program provides Australian-based graduates with broad-based, hands-on experience led by experienced managers and mentors in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Our team members are passionate about working on diverse and interesting projects and sharing their expertise.

Our two-year program offers places for graduates with a degree from recognised tertiary institutions. Discipline areas include:

  • Process Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering.

As an Ausenco New Professional, you will have the opportunity to:

The New Professionals program includes structured development programs and work experience to help graduate gain the competencies required to become a successful professional at Ausenco. These include:

  • Comprehensive induction
  • Professional development sessions relating to work practices, software usage, task and job management
  • Participation in formal training programs
  • Rotational experience aimed at giving a general appreciation of the work of other disciplines, and the roles of other professions and organisations within the engineering industry
  • Experience in a professional working environment
  • Development pathway structured towards gaining chartered status with Engineers Australia.

Applicants must possess a degree in engineering from a recognised tertiary institution and have the right to work in Australia.
