Diana Bennett (P.Eng.)

Manager, Food & Beverage Group

Diana has 20+ years experience in the food, chemical & manufacturing industry from process and packaging line design to construction site supervision and start-up.

The  ability of our experts to understand the unique processes and practices in the food and beverage industry, alongside our excellent record of project execution, builds trust and long-term relationships with our clients.

Diana has over 20 years of extensive experience in the food, chemical, and manufacturing industries including process and packaging line design, financial feasibility studies, equipment selection, procurement, contract management, project management, document control, cost control, construction site supervision and start-up.

Diana followed her passion for sanitary engineering design in the food and beverage industry by pursuing a bachelor degree in chemical engineering followed by a master’s degree in food engineering. Today, she is an active member of the International Associations for Food Protection. She is also involved with NSF International (National Sanitation Foundation), where she provides training courses for her peers in the industry and shares her knowledge of sanitary design for food manufacturing facilities.

Diana is passionate about leveraging her broad knowledge of food engineering to provide our clients with value engineering design, from forensic engineering and production capability troubleshooting of existing manufacturing plants, to greenfield design of process facilities for safe food and beverage manufacturing and storage.

Regulations within the Food and Beverage industry are not static. For example, new standards have been mandated recently for food plants. This has presented Diana and her team with new opportunities to assist companies who are building/upgrading their facilities to meet the new regulations. Diana enjoys being a part of this dynamic industry which continually evolves.

For Diana, what makes Ausenco different is our ability to challenge the engineering design boundaries to provide our clients with value added design and optimal solutions while minimizing the project’s capital cost. She believes that we have all the tools and capabilities in-house to provide our clients with local end-to-end solutions from engineering studies to project delivery and construction management.

Her food and beverage industry specialties include:

  • Winemaking
  • Cereal processes
  • Dairy processes
  • Processed peats
  • Bakery pixes and baked goods
