Joint ventures and alliances

Our commitment is to provide our clients with high-quality services that enhance and add value to their project. Where these capabilities are not available in house, strategic JVs and alliances have been made, allowing us to expand what we can offer clients.

We have formed several joint ventures and alliances that provide a synergy with our offering and enhance our delivery across the full project lifecycle. Our current arrangements are listed below.

In July 2015 Ausenco Limited and Spanish multinational construction company Duro Felguera S.A. (DF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form a Strategic Alliance to jointly pursue and deliver EPC projects globally and increase market share in their sectors.

Both companies are strategically positioned in key global markets with highly experienced workforces, a comprehensive range of service offerings and little overlap. The Alliance aims to increase the shareholder value of both companies and will combine the collective strengths of Ausenco and DF to bid for and deliver an expanded pool of major EPC project opportunities throughout the world.

Ausenco has a strong presence in the Americas, Africa and Asia, and an established reputation for delivering complex projects innovatively with a focus on capital efficiency. Ausenco’s expertise in mining and oil & gas solutions is complemented by DF's established construction background, key presence in the energy sector and long history of successful EPC project delivery. Collectively, this will allow the Alliance to pursue a variety of EPC project opportunities.

DF is a cornerstone shareholder in Ausenco Limited.

Regional Economic Solutions (RES) was formed in 2013 through the common desire of its business Directors, Leann Wilson and Mal Meninga, to bring about real economic change for Indigenous Australians.

RES brings together Indigenous knowledge and experience working in communities nationally and internationally. Its experience at the local level extends to Indigenous engagement, native title, cultural heritage, capacity development and economic development. Its focus is on working with, traditional owners groups, government and other stakeholders to build Indigenous businesses and Indigenous business capacity, so that those Indigenous businesses may be brought into a project supply chain.

Ausenco and Kramer Ausenco can engage RES to provide specialist advisory services to provide high level advice and assistance in areas such as government relations, investor/stakeholder management, crisis management, and complex or sensitive legal, commercial and regulatory issues, as well as community relationships.

Our teams understand that for any project to be successful, particularly those in remote locations, effective engagement with stakeholders including the local community is imperative. Close attention to health and safety is matched by a focus on the protection of the local environment and the training, development and integration of local personnel into a project’s workforce.
