Matt has nine years’ process and mechanical engineering experience in copper, gold, coal and minerals sands processing plants across proposal, concept level, pre-feasibility, detailed design and commissioning project stages. His core strengths lie in the design of copper concentrators and solid liquid separation, including tailings thickening and filtration.
Matt was the Process Engineer for the Rosemont Feasibility Study, the Wafi/Golpu PFS, and the Cadia Fluorine removal and gravity gold circuits. He was also responsible for managing the process/controls upgrade project for the Mount Carlton gold/silver/copper concentrator and was the Commissioning Manager for the Lihir NCA/HGO Flotation upgrade projects.
More recently Matt has been working closely with Glencore, developing flotation testwork programs, co-ordinating testwork and preparing metallurgical review reports for the Mt. Isa site.
A very high achiever, Matt has strong process, analytical, process control and communication skills which are particularly relevant for optimising existing sites, brownfields upgrades and design of greenfields facilities.
