Max has devoted the last 18 years of his career to civil and structural design, developing several projects for the oil & gas and mining sectors in Peru. As a project manager and structural engineer, he has experience in performing geotechnical construction support services, seismic studies, conceptual plant designs, plant services, construction management, detailed designs and EPC/EPCM contracting.
Max joined Ausenco as a structural engineering lead for the Constancia EPCM Project, a copper mine with 82,000 tpd daily processing capacity and most recently worked in the Zafranal Feasibility Study and Mina Justa EPCM Project in Peru. Once completed, Mina Justa will consist of two open pit mines and two processing facilities utilizing a 6.0 Mtpa copper sulphide concentrator and 12.0 Mtpa vat leach SXEW oxide facility. Total production will be 100,000 tpa of copper contained in cathode and concentrates. Max is the civil / structural engineering lead and reviewer responsible for the design of the concrete and steelwork for the project.
