National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101") is the national instrument for the Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, owned by or explored by, companies which report these results on stock exchanges within Canada.

There are similar but not as rigorous codes in Australasia (JORC), South Africa, the UK and Chile.

Ausenco has a strong history of collaborating with both our clients and other consultants in producing NI 43-101 and JORC compliant reports, typically at the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), Prefeasibility (PFS) or Feasibility (FS) study stage the project.  Our key personnel have worked in:

  • A co-ordinating role as the lead or primary author and, hence, as the overall Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) for a report, or
  • A secondary role in being a QP/CP for specific sections of a report.

We have a number of engineers on staff that are experienced QPs/CPs on studies and have worked closely with larger teams of clients and consultants to produce cohesive Technical Reports.
